My Story

Called to Bridge Faith and Mental Health

Hanon Awad is a licensed psychotherapist, Christian speaker, and author whose work sits at the intersection of clinical psychology and biblical truth. With over a decade of experience serving individuals, families, and faith communities, Hanon brings both professional expertise and personal conviction to every conversation about mental health.

Growing up in the church, Hanon witnessed firsthand the silence that often surrounds mental health struggles in faith communities — a silence born not from indifference, but from uncertainty. That experience became the foundation of her calling: to equip the church with the language, tools, and compassion to walk alongside those who are hurting.

Today, Hanon speaks at churches, conferences, and retreats across the country, offering a message that is both clinically grounded and deeply rooted in Scripture. Her approach is direct, warm, and unapologetically faith-forward — because she believes that healing is not just possible, it is promised.

"
You don't have to choose between your faith and your healing. God designed both.

My Approach

A Whole-Person Philosophy

Hanon's approach to mental health is holistic — addressing the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected parts of the whole person God created. She draws from evidence-based clinical practices while remaining anchored in the belief that Scripture speaks directly to the human experience of suffering, grief, anxiety, and restoration.

Whether she is working one-on-one with a client, speaking to a congregation of thousands, or writing for readers navigating their own healing journey, Hanon's message is consistent: you are not too broken to be healed, and you are not alone in the process.
